Great Alleghany Passage

Pittsburgh, Pa. to Cumberland, Md.

Review:

The length of this trail from Pittsburgh, Pa. to Cumberland, Md. is 150 miles. We gave this trail a mixed Family Friendly Rating because of the various grades and the remoteness of different parts of the trail.

We had a great ride on this trail from Rockwood, Pa to Cumberland Md., which is 44 miles. This trail we would say is excellent for riders in moderate to good physical shape depending on the section of the trail you are on. If you are planning a ride with preteens we would strongly recommend that you do some research before heading out.

There are many places that have either bathrooms or Porta Potties along the trail.
