Review:

     The length of this trail around Harrisburg is approximately 22 miles. We gave this trail a mixed rating because of the many different types of surfaces and terrain.

     Most of this trail we would say is for experienced riders in good physical shape because of all the street crossings, many hills to climb, and part of this trail is on city streets.

     The only part of this trail that we would classify as a Family Friendly Rating of 6 is from the Jewish Community Center, on Front Street, to the Pen Dot Building and back, provided you ride along the river to avoid having to cross the bridge entries.

     There are various places that have bathrooms or Portia Potties along the trail.

Trail Surface(s):

      Asphalt, crushed stone, dirt, grass, gravel, woodchips

Scenery:

     The scenery for this trail is mixed. If you like the city then you will enjoy it but if you like mountains, woods, and streams then we recommend riding one of the other trails.
